Private jet charter in the United Arab Emirates starts with one decision most guides skip: Dubai or Abu Dhabi? Prime Jet Services is a Dubai-based charter broker arranging flights from every UAE airport — the two Dubai gateways, Abu Dhabi’s executive airport, and the quieter northern emirates — to the GCC, Europe, Asia and the Americas. This page compares the departure options, covers long-range travel from the Emirates, and explains how season and Grand Prix travel are handled. For departures specifically from Dubai, see our dedicated private jet charter Dubai page.

Dubai vs Abu Dhabi: which departure suits your trip?

Dubai offers two private-aviation gateways. Dubai International (DXB) has the Executive Flights Terminal minutes from Downtown, DIFC and Business Bay — the fastest same-day option if you are in the city. Al Maktoum International (DWC) in Dubai South has quieter slots and generous parking for heavy and ultra-long-range aircraft, and is closer for Jebel Ali, JAFZA and anyone heading towards Abu Dhabi. Dubai also has the deepest pool of positioned aircraft in the region, which means more choice and more empty legs from Dubai.

Abu Dhabi is served by Al Bateen Executive Airport (AZI) — a dedicated general-aviation airport on Abu Dhabi island, the most convenient departure for the capital, Saadiyat and Yas — and by Abu Dhabi International / Zayed International (AUH) for larger aircraft. If your trip starts in the capital, departing from Abu Dhabi saves the 90-minute road transfer; if it starts in Dubai, the aircraft choice is usually wider from DXB or DWC. Positioning an aircraft between the two cities is short and inexpensive, so we quote both when it makes sense.

Long-range private jet charter from the UAE

The Emirates sit within non-stop reach of most of the world on today’s ultra-long-range jets. Typical block times from Dubai or Abu Dhabi: London and Paris around 7 hours, Geneva and Zurich about 6½, Moscow 5, Mumbai 3, Singapore 7½, and New York around 13–14 hours non-stop on a Global 7500 or Gulfstream G650ER. Heavy jets such as the Challenger 650, Falcon 900 and Legacy 650 cover Europe comfortably; for the Americas, Australia and non-stop Asia we source ultra-long-range aircraft and VIP airliners. Indicative prices by route are on the Dubai charter page.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, season and event travel

The Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (Yas Marina, late November/early December) is the busiest private-aviation weekend in the country: slots at Al Bateen and AUH fill weeks ahead and positioning aircraft become scarce across the Gulf. We recommend confirming Grand Prix flights 3–4 weeks out and holding flexible timings for the Sunday departure. The same applies to the winter season generally — Dubai Airshow, Art Dubai, the racing carnival and the Eid holidays — when demand from Europe and the wider GCC peaks. Our desk pre-positions options for regular clients before these dates.

UAE airports for private jets

Dubai International (DXB, OMDB) — the principal gateway, with a dedicated executive terminal on the Al Garhoud side; closest to central Dubai. Al Maktoum International (DWC, OMDW) — Dubai South; primarily general aviation and cargo with virtually no traffic restrictions, ideal for large aircraft and quiet departures. Al Bateen Executive (AZI, OMAD) — the capital’s dedicated business-aviation airport, in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Zayed International (AUH, OMAA) — Abu Dhabi’s main airport, ~40 km from the centre, for larger aircraft and VIP airliners. Sharjah (SHJ, OMSJ) — the longest runway in the northern emirates, often a practical alternative to DXB. Ras Al Khaimah (RKT, OMRK), Fujairah (FJR, OMFJ) and Al Ain (AAN, OMAL) — uncongested regional airports for the northern and eastern emirates and the Al Ain oasis, with minimal delays and quick handling.

How we arrange your UAE charter

Send the route, date and passenger count by WhatsApp, the estimator or a one-line email. Within two hours you have two or three aircraft options with photos and an all-in price — aircraft, fuel, landing, Gulf handling, permits and catering itemised. Confirm, and we handle slots at both ends, overflight and landing permits (Saudi Arabia, India and Egypt typically need 24–48 hours), FBO arrangements and ground transport. Flexible on timing? Ask us to check live empty legs first — the same aircraft and crew at 30–75% off. No membership, no booking fees, a Dubai desk that answers 24/7.
